Beaumont

Beaumont stands as a refined architectural expression, thoughtfully positioned between the lively commercial fabric of Belmont and the relaxed, seaside atmosphere of Devonport village. Beaumont’s distinctive curved façade, crafted from warm, elegant brick, is thoughtfully designed to harmonize with its surroundings. It stands as both a sculptural statement and a subtle nod to the rhythmic ebb and flow of the nearby tides. The building’s form captures the essence of the coast, subtly translating the rhythms of the shore into an urban architectural language.

Located at the threshold of movement and stillness, Beaumont offers seamless access to key transport links and the vibrant Belmont shopping precinct, while remaining just moments from the coastal calm of Devonport’s popular walking trails. Dedicated bike storage reflects a commitment to active, sustainable living, reinforcing the project’s relationship to its seaside setting and the mobility it encourages.

The experience of place is heightened by framed views of the city skyline from the building’s rear, establishing a powerful juxtaposition between the tranquillity of the coastline and the dynamism of urban life. This dual perspective positions Beaumont as more than a residential development, it is a considered response to its environment, offering both connection and retreat.

Inside, the material palette draws on natural tones and textures, mirroring the surrounding coastal landscape while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Beaumont thoughtfully balances its urban address with a coastal identity, embodying a unique equilibrium where architectural form, function, and context converge. This is a place where design transcends the visual, shaping an environment attuned to the dynamic interplay between urban life and the natural movement of the sea.
